Abstract
Studies missionary and colonial activities in the Niger Delta particularly in the trading states of the Eastern Niger Delta. Argues that the secular officials of the British Crown and the christian missionaries were united in the ideological beliefs to impose 'whiteness on the Niger Delta. The author emphasises that the two groups helsd a mutual respect for each other, displayed strong collaboration and support in their ultimate goal of establishing white dominance in the Niger Delta.....
