Abstract
Echinoids have not been described from the Upper Eocene limestone formations of Jamaica. The cassiduloid Eurhodia matleyi (Hawkins) is the only echinoid to have been recorded previously from the Upper Eocene Somerset Formation, but the validity of this identification is uncertain. This species seems to show a range of naked zone morphology from smooth to pitted, suggesting some similarity to Rhyncholampas A. Agassiz. A second species from the same formation, the neolaganid clypeasteroid cf. Durhamella cf. floridanum (Twitchell) is recorded. This is the first record of the Palaeogene, New World genus Durhamella Kier from the island.....
