Abstract
Identifies intra Caribbean migration as an integrative force in the region. In a case study of the Leeward Islands, examines the objective conditions propelling migration as well as the positive and negative societal changes generated. These changes include language and communication; sports and culture; entertainment; intermarriage, gender relations and criminality. Concludes that integration efforts should not be myopically limited to the Anglophone Caribbean as this can only perpetuate the division of the colonial past.....
