Suggests that ganja and crack-cocaine are the main causes of Jamaica's crime problem. Provides a historical account on the use of ganja and cocaine in Jamaica arguing that ganja use is a part of the cultural practices and belief system of the people, while cocaine on the other hand accounts for much of the modern crime and violence in contemporary Jamaica.
