Abstract
Discusses the impact of globalization on labour organization particularly as it relates to women in the workplace. Posits that women have been more disadvantaged than men, that more women are unemployed and underemployed, and more women move into non-standard contracts of employment. Even though they display greater overall levels of participation and attainment at the higher levels of the education system, women are still displaced from the formal labour sector. Suggests that policies to address these issues must focus on reducing sex-segregation in the educational curricula and efforts must be made to promote entrepreneurship among women.....
