Abstract
This article focuses on the north-east trade winds which are a key influence on the Caribbean region's climate and weather. Whilst CXC textbooks cover the basics, there seems to be a lack of resource material on Caribbean climate and weather for students and teachers at A-Level. The temperature inversion within the lower portion of the trade winds plays an important role in influencing the seasonal pattern of precipitation. Discussion of temperature inversion in the north-east trades is rarely emphasised in geography teaching, and is largely absent from the resource material available in schools.....
