Abstract
Explores the tradition of migration in the Caribbean. Posits to the centrality of the Caribbean to the globalization process and considers how migration has influenced the development of the institutional structures of Caribbean. Suggests that Caribbean culture supports and encourages migration and thus societies are shaped by the continuing interplay of local and global issues.
