Abstract
We present a design approach that converts Petri net models into their equivalent fuzzy sets for the design of discrete event controllers. The Petri Net model of a discrete event controller is captured and modeled using DesignCPN software. DesignCPN [1] used ColouredPetri Nets (CPN) [2] in model representation. Fuzzy sets generated in our conversion process are compatible with Xfuzzy software, which is fuzzy logic software for controllers design. Xfuzzy [3] uses a language called XFL to define fuzzy systems. Different algorithms of conversion have been implemented together with some parsers that are useful in our conversion process.
