Abstract
Looks at the reasons for the sharp differences in C.L.R James's conclusion about black self determination in the Caribbean and the United States. C.L.R James concludes that there was a real case for self determination in the Caribbean but saw more in the United States. The article cites a number of examples in the two regions which validated Jame's conclusions.....
