Abstract
Unrinary tract infection (UTI) is common both in the hospital and the community. At the University Hospital of the West Indies (A 512 bed tertiary care teaching hospital) in Kigston, Jamaica. We encounter on average about 2000 culture proven UTI's per year half of which are community acquired. In this report, we analyse 585 community acquired uropathogens in 6 months between January and June, 2001 in this hospital.....
