Abstract
Author maintains that the double shift system may have reduced teaching time, compressed activities, caused tense school days, leaving both children and teachers tired. Nevertheless it has achieved the national objective of mass education, that of educating all the nation's children, which outweighs the disadvantages of the shift system in Jamaica.....
