Recording, investigating and analysing the success or failure of tourism and hospitality management education programmes is somewhat lacking in the Caribbean. This chapter aims to record the developement stages and analyse the structure and management of the first Master's degree in tourism and hospitality management in the Caribbean. The methodology used by the researcher in his capacity as consultant to the funding agency, the European union, in developing the programme is described. The researcher interviewed 123 respondents from 17 countries. The experience gained between 1999-2001 as implementor of the programme on behalf of the Univeresity of the West Indies is shared. Methods for evaluating the programme are explained. Finally, recommendations are made for future improvements to ensure the sustainability of the programme.....
