Abstract
Reviews the extent and significance of landslides in Jamaica and presents an analysis of landslide phenomena on the island. A geological zonation of landslides is proposed and mitigation strategies appropriate for each of the eight landslide zones are suggested. Also shows how the cumulative direct and indirect effects of landslides on the Jamaican economy are a significant and ongoing cost.....
