Abstract
One of the Taino sites discovered in recent years on the outskirts of Kingston is Chancery Hall, in red Hills. In 1991, Mr. George Lechler, past present of the Archaeological Society of Jamaica, reported the existence of the site managed to salvage several important finds from it. In 1996, the Jamaica National Heritage Trust conducted test pit excavations on four of the Chancery Hall lots and retrieved further significant material, In 1998, another small excavation was carried out by a combined team from the University of the West Indies and University of Leicester, primarily for providing stratigraphic control and recovering environmental data. This three-part report covers the discoveries made at the site so far. Much of Chancery Hall remains well preseved and is hoped that further work can be done there....
