Abstract
Aims to show that there are Jamaican proverbs which are interesting from the point of view of at least four areas of philosophy: metaphysics, epistemology, ethics and aesthetics. Most of the poverbs discussed are from a variety of sources, and so they differ in their renderings of the Jamaican language. The interpretations are those of the collectors or the author's.
