Abstract
The paper seeks to investigate female leadership within a male hegemonic sphere, in order to determine whether a gendered methodology really exists. It does this by exploring the ways in which it may be argued that a new era of feminists, strategically positioned to impact on women's lives, appear only to be masquerading under the guise of feminism, portraying themselves as real feminists in order to participate in activities which have questionable relevance to true women's empowerment. It further examines the extent to which, some contemporary women seek to take advantage of what can be termed the age of 'projectization,' which has been used as a stepping stone for personal advancement but which does not necessarily transform the conditions of poorer women lives.....
