Abstract
Examines the data provided by the lyrics of a popular dancehall piece, 'Heads High' by Mr. Vegas and uses it to illustrate the reversal of sound in normal speech. Focuses on the rhyming words at the ends of lines, many of which have their vowel sounds reversed, and uses the phonological principles behind the reversal to present an alternative to the Cassidy and LePage treatment of Jamaican diphthongs.....
